Our Success Stories

Project Overview

From 6,400 to 31,800 organic sessions by fixing the foundations first. A JavaScript-heavy marketing site hid most of its content from search engines. We fixed rendering, rebuilt the topic map around job-costing questions and published 46 pieces in a year. The crawl explained why. Feature pages rendered their copy client-side and timed out for crawlers, 1,900 near-empty tag pages were indexed, and 30 blog posts competed with each other for the same three queries.

Key Results And Tangible Business Benefits

Tallgrass Ledger sells bookkeeping software to small construction firms. The product was well liked, the blog was busy, and organic traffic had been flat for two years. Over twelve months the work below changed the numbers that matter to the business, not just the ones that look good on a chart.

What We Did

Five Pieces of Work, In This Order

  1. 01

    Server-side rendering for feature pages

Worked with two in-house engineers to pre-render 38 templates. Crawlers now receive full content on the first request.

  2. 02

    Pruned 1,900 tag pages

Noindexed and removed thin archives from the sitemap, consolidating internal links onto 14 topic hubs.

  3. 03

    Merged competing articles

Combined 30 overlapping posts into nine comprehensive guides with redirects.

  4. 04

    Built a job-costing topic cluster

Published 46 briefed pieces across four pillars, each reviewed by a working bookkeeper.

  5. 05

    Connected organic sessions to pipeline

Rebuilt event tracking and tied demo requests to landing pages in the CRM.

  6. Services used

Team: Strategist, technical lead, two writers
